Sarah Beeny set up her property developing business back in 1996 with her childhood sweetheart Graham Swift and her brother.

Best known for presenting Channel 4s Property Ladder, Sarah landed the role by randomly talking to someone at a party. The following day her sister-in-law rang Sarah asking her if she wanted to be the front face for a new series.

Her mother died when Sarah was just 10 years old. Sarah’s father was an architect so she had been on building sites all her life, that’s where she built her foundation of knowledge regarding properties.

Sarah has written two best-selling books, both on the subject of developing property for profit to accompany the Property Ladder series

Sarah Beeny has no plans to quit the Property Ladder series, even though she is very busy with writing a weekly column for the Mail On Sunday, and launching dating website www.mysinglefriend.com
