Who is Kelly Osbourne:
Born in London,Kelly Osbourne is sister to Jack and Amiee, and half of sister Jessica Hobbs, Louis Osbourne and Robert Macarto.  Kelly along with Jack,Sharon and of course Ozzy Osbourne shot to international fame on the award-winning reality series, ‘The Osbournes’. They had an unconventional upbringing as Ozzy toured the world, spending most of their time in hotel rooms. The whole family moved to LA in 1995 so Ozzy could have a shot at cracking America.

It was after MTV show ‘Cribs’ had been to the Osbourne household when they got offered the chance of making the reality show The Osbourne’s launching the whole family into worldwide fame. Kelly came across to viewers of the show, an opinionated  loud-mouth with a larger than life persona.

Kelly released her ‘Shut Up’ album in 2002 following her number 1 cover version of Madonna’s Papa Don’t Preach.  The album had slow sales and bad reviews. Epic, her record label dropped her. However, Kelly recorded the duet “Changes” with her dad Ozzy and it went straight to number 1 in the UK. Album ‘Shut Up‘ was then repackaged with the duet but sales did not improve.

Then in 2003 Sharon Osbourne was diagnosed with colon cancer which shook the family to pieces, brother Jack had a stint in rehab and her dad Ozzy had a serous accident which left him in hospital.  Kelly was also suffering from depression around this time.

In 2004, she released album ‘One Word‘. Fans were confused and angered to see a very slim Kelly on the cover, when Kelly had said earlier that she was very happy with her size. They were even more angered when they found out that the cover was digitally enhanced to make the singer look slim. Kelly took all this in her stride, and went on to present MTV’s Australian Video Music Awards with her Mum, Dad and brother. Kelly launched her own fashion line with her friend called ‘Stiletto Killers.’

For the last few years there has been speculation as to whether Kelly will make a comeback on the music scene and she says,

“I don’t know where the quit rumours came from - I’ve just recorded a version of Girls Just Wanna Have Fun with Cyndi Lauper.”
