Born into a Catholic family in Toledo Ohio, Katie Holmes is the youngest of five children. Tamera, Holly Ann, Martin and Nancy Kay.

Katie’s television career soared as she landed her first two professional auditions, resulting in her feature debut in “The Ice Storm” (1997) and a regular series role on the popular teen drama “Dawson’s Creek” (1998-2003) playing Joey Potter

Katie had a different experience in the movie industry as she was quoted saying in 2005 “Usually I’m not even in the top ten” but had success in a supporting role in Phone Booth.

Just a few weeks after ending her relationship with Chris Klein, Katie began dating actor Tom Cruise. Two months later, Katie and Tom were engaged. The couple announced Holmes was pregnant in October 2005 and in April 2006, she gave birth to Suri Cruise. Katie and Tom were married in Italy later the same year.
