Born in Miami and raised in L.A with 3 siblings, Eva Mendes started her acting career in small commercials. Eva appeared in music video ‘Miami’ by Will Smith in the mid 1990’s which led her to some supporting roles in films.

Then in 2001 Eva Mendes got her big break, as she was cast to play Sara in the award winning film ‘Training Day’ starring Denzel Washington and Ethan Hawkes. Eva Mendes became a much recognised face and went on to star in other films such as ‘Stuck On You’ with Matt Damon whom she had a brief fling with, and ‘2 Fast 2 Furious’ working alongside Paul Walker.

Eva Mendes is in a long-term serious relationship with film-maker George Gargurevich.
