Who is Cheryl Tweedy/Cole:
Born and raised in Newcastle, Cheryl Tweedy always knew she wanted to be a star and embarked on her first modeling job at aged six. Cheryl also danced, sang and studied ballet.

After winning local modeling competitions such as Best Looking Girl of Newcastle and Most Attractive Girl at the MetroCentre, Cheryl appeared in two television adverts for British Gas.

Cheryl was earning her living as a waitress when she entered the UK talent show Popstars: The Rivals. In the final show, Cheryl received the most votes in the poll which chose the girls for the all-female group “Girls Aloud”, and was the first to be picked for the group. Joining her in the band were Nadine Coyle, Kimberley Walsh, Nicola Roberts, and Sarah Harding.

The Girls Aloud debut single, “Sound Of The Underground.” proved to be so popular that it stayed at the No. 1 spot in the charts for four weeks.

Cheryl then made news later that year, when she was convicted of assaulting Sophie Amogbokpa, toilet attendant at a nightclub in Guilford. Although Cheryl was cleared of the racial charges, Cheryl was found guilty of occasioning actual bodily harm and was sentenced to 120 hours of community service, and ordered to pay court costs and compensation.

Cheryl and footballer Ashley Cole were married 15 July 2006 at Wrotham Park. Cheryl had a dress designed by Roberto Cavalli, reportedly worth £110,000, flown to England. The wedding was paid for by OK! Magazine, with whom the couple signed a £1 million deal.

The opinionated singer Lily Allen has a song titled “Cheryl Tweedy”, in which Lily states that she wishes she looked like Cheryl Tweedy, which Lily has later claimed to be ironic and should be seen as more of an insult and not a compliment.
