Sam Thomas, Armani’s new IT boy

Australia’s rebel model Sam “Nick” Thomas has finally hit the big time overseas after years of international modeling, scoring a lucrative deal with designer retail giant Armani.

The 24-year-old ex-business student, whose credits include stints with Gucci, Guess, Anna Sui, Calvin Klein and Australian retailers Alex Perry, Just Jeans and Billabong, has been proclaimed a new European favourite amongst the fashion crowd, recently rubbing shoulders with fellow Australian model Gemma Ward on the Marc Jacobs catwalk in Milan - a slight change from his self-proclaimed “drugs and alcohol” days.

And it seems that for Sam, the news couldn’t have come at a better time. According to his personal myspace page, the 6 foot 1, tattooed Storm model has recently parted ways with his long-time Brazilian girlfriend (Sorry ladies! He says he’s still in love with her!) something he describes as “the worst time of my life, I’ve lost my love and I need to get away for a bit.”

Well Sam, we’re pretty sure the model after parties and 6 foot glamazons you’re about to encounter working for Armani will help take your mind off of her…
