Unplanned downtime!

In case you hadn’t noticed we suffered badly from downtime over the last few weeks. Not only did we suffer downtime. We also suffered losing posts (Posts are been restored thanks to Google Cache!!)  and critical data to make the site run the way it used to. (Yep the way it was originally intended.)

How did this happen? Well we relied on our host too much and listened to their lies for 1 week too many. After many reassurances that the site would be up and running again within hours. And that we would of had access to all our backups.  I found out it was all simply lies.

So what did we do?

Well we moved host thats for damn sure.  Took a while getting the entire setup and ready to handle things correctly and securely. Then we installed the backup we had. Ok so it isn’t totally upto date. Sorry but theres not alot i can do about that. I am as pissed off as the rest of ya(No really i am!)   You may have noticed that the Polls bar has gone from the sidebar. Hopefully we’ll look into getting that fixed as time allows. Had to switch a few coding things around in order to get it to work and redid the theme for the site.

What would be appreciated is if you spot an error on the site. Please leave a comment on this entry telling me where the error is, and also what the error is. (Its not much use saying something like “Image doesn’t load” or “Broken link” I need to know what page to find the error on.

SO if theres a post missing that you were wanting to read. Sorry but its gone for now at least. If you leave a message regarding what post it was you were looking for. I will be more than happy to try and find it on the net somewhere.  If your acount is missing, let me know. I can sort it out and give you your status back.
