Celebrity Big Brother 2008 canceled

So the rumours of Paris Hilton coming to the UK for celebrity Big Brother were wrong. Either that or the head of Programs at Channel 4 is wrong. You decide.

The head of programmes is Julian Bellamy and he really didn;t have alot to say on the subject :

    “After the race row, it was constantly in the press and part of the national conversation at a time when traditionally it was off our screens - it feels like it has never been away this year,”

Julian also mentioned that it was getting harder to book celebs for the show (Probably why they wanted droopy eyed Paris for the show.)

Julian, it was constantly in the press and media for the reason that Channel 4 allowed it to happen. No other reason. The only people to blame in it all were C4 and Jade.

The show maybe continued in 2009. that decision will be made next year. No doubt they are waiting that long to see if it all dies with regards to this years CBB. If the media are still talking about it next year. Then my guess is it won’t go ahead.
