Sunday was a bad day for Lily Allen. In case you’ve been hiding under a rock for the last few days, let me enlighten you.
Lily was supposed to be going to the US to attend the MTV VMA and to shoot a video with Kanye West. These things didn;t happen in the order or way Lily had hoped for. She flew to the States from Australia( (That part went ok). But things went bad as soon as she landed.
She was pulled to one side by Immigration control who thought it appropriate to ask the Smile singer a few questions.
She was questioned for five hours over an incident here in the UK which happened earlier this year. After the five hours of questioning were over, she was stripped of her work Visa which means her tour in September could be in jeopardy. Especially as she’s now banned from the States.
If the US were afraid of her injuring photogs over the pond, then they did the right thing. But maybe they just didn’t like her attitude or her music. Who knows what goes on in Immigration control. Or what they think.
Her rep told The Daily Mail:
“Lily doesn’t know why it happened, she is quite shocked,”
“She’s due back in the UK at the end of the week to continue work on her second album, and we’re sure all this will be sorted out in time for her American tour.”“It’s in the hands of the relevant authorities and these things take time. The most important thing to her is her fans. She does not want to let them down.”
Maybe now she’ll stop assaulting photogs and insulting others, and instead worry about things that matter. Like trying to get into a country that she’s banned from!
