Lynwood Century regional detention facility (Jail for short) was the home of Paris Hilton earlier this year when she broke the law (again) and got herself banged up. People were furious when she was released on home arrest and demanded that she took back to the jail to serve the rest of her 45 day sentence. Others were just upset she got an easy time whilst inside.
But the easy time inside is no doubt the whole reason why the latest female celeb to be caught under the influence would like to spend her stay there. No i don’t mean LinLo (She’s back in rehab anyway) i mean Nicole Richie.
She’s due to spend 96 hours behind bars. For DUI which happened earlier this year. 96 Hours may not be a lot of time to ordinary people. But to celebrities its a life time.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Steve Whitmore said:
“Richie’s attorney contacted us and indicated she wants to do her time there.
“It is not yet known whether she will be housed in the medical ward because of her condition.
“That’s all determined by our medical staff upon her arrival.”
Since when did criminals get to choose their own prison? I mean i am sure many prisoners would like to go to a different jail. Why don’t they get the choice? Some may want to be near the beach. Others might prefer a balcony with their cell. Why does Nicole get to pick and choose? Ahh yes thats right. Its called celebrity justice isn’t it?
And as for the medical ward? Well i guess she’ll just get Paris’ old cell in there. After all, thats where Paris spent her time whilst in Lynwood.
Lets rename Lynwood to ‘Celebrity DUI Central’.
