David Beckham overrated?

We know he went to the States to make Soccer super popular over there. But he just isn’t doing a great job of it in my opinion. (And i don’t even like soccer!)

Just from reading the reports of other news outlets and fans themselves, its almost as if David Beckham been able to play soccer is just a rumour. A rumour which many would like to see put to the test.

Since been in the States to promote soccer. He’s spent a grand total of 16 minutes on the pitch, didn’t score was there more for the publicity than to actually play soccer. Many see this as a sham to the sports. Others accept he has an injury and can’t play right now.  He does however spend alot of time at red carpet events and helping to promote his wife Posh in any way he can.

MLS (Major League Soccer) seem happy just to have him. Because he’s covered by the media in everything he does, they figure that Soccer is still getting good publicity regardless of him playing or not.

He does have a bad ankle, which does’t look to be getting better. SO right now he’s paid however many million it is to just sit there and wave occasionally. And attend red carpet events at the cost of LA Galaxy.

Will he play or won’t he? Thats the question before every soccer game that comes near.  Chances are he won’t. Not until Posh actually becomes famous for something over in the States.  Then he will have more time to spend on the pitch rather than on the red carpet.
