David Beckham doesn’t want to be Simpsonized

Its hard to believe that David Beckham would of been offered the part to play himself on a special of the Simpsons. The good thing about it all is that he turned down the offer from the shows creator Matt Groening because of a comment made in a christmas special a few years back.

It was back in the winter of 2004 when Marge Simpson hosted the Alternative christmas on Channel 4. Marge made some reference to her and Homers relationship been as strong as Bosh and Pecks saying:

“Our union is as solid as the union between your David Beckham and Posh Spice. Oh, he did that? With his assistant? That’s so sad. Okay, moving on.”

Well as a viewer of the Simpsons who finds the show and movies extremely funny. I don’t think we viewers are actually missing out on anything by him not been in it.

Matt himself doesn’t appear to be all that bothered about it. Because when Matt was asked about the situation he replied “Beckham didn’t want to take part, but never mind.”

Just goes to show. The Simpsons doesn’t need him.
