Skinny and pregnant Simple Life star Nicole Richie pleaded guilty to charges of driving under the influence of drugs and was sentenced to four days in jail, just a month after TV co-star it, finished her 3 week stint behind bars.
Nicole has been ordered to serve her time by the 28th September, but it’s not clear when or where she would be jailed. The socialite also has to pay a fine over $2,000, was ordered to enroll in a court-supervised rehabilitation program and has been placed on three years probation.
Lionel Richie’s daughter didn’t face court alone, she was accompanied by bodyguards and her boyfriend, Good Charlotte’s Joel Madden.
Steven Lubell, Superior Court Commissioner warned Nicole Richie twice, that she could end up doing 12 months behind bars if she violates her probation.
Steven Lubell said:
“The court views this plea agreement as a contract. If you violate the terms of this agreement, you can and you will go to county jail for more time than the court is giving you today. Being under the influence of alcohol or drugs while driving is extremely dangerous.”
The only words Nicole Richie spoke during the hearing was “guilty” when asked how she pleaded, and “yes” when asked if she acknowledged her previous conviction.
Nicole did not speak to any of the media leaving court, she quickly and quietly left in a black SUV.
