Kerry Katona victim of armed robbery
Former Atomic Kitten singer Kerry Katona and her family were the victims in an armed robbery yesterday reports The Metro newspaper.
The robbers wore masks and held a knife to Kerry Katona’s throat and threatned to kill her along with her husband Mark Croft and her five month old daughter Heidi.
The thieves forced their way into Kerry and Mark’s Chesire mansion armed with a sledgehammer, crowbar and a knife. Two of the masked robbers held Kerry and baby Heidi captive while the other robber forced Mark Croft to show him around the house to see what they could steal.
The family was then locked in a room while the thieves escaped with over £150,000 worth of equipment including Kerry Katona’s blue BMW M5 car.
Kerry and husband Mark managed to free themselves and call the police a short while later.
Kerry’s publicist Max Clifford told the press:
“Kerry is in a terrible state. This morning she was in floods of tears and absolutely distraught.”
Luckily, Kerry’s other children by the former WestLife singer Brian McFadden, Molly and Lilly-Sue were staying with their grandparents at the time.
We wish Kerry and her family all the best and hope they will catch the culprits soon.
