Lily Allen wants to help kids in the UK
For once, instead of mouthing off at other celebrities or political leaders. Lily Allen has decided to join forces with campaigners who want to do more for teenage kids in the UK. This could help the cause as we all know, Lily isn’t the greatest person at keeping her mouth shut. To use it constructively would make a pleasant change.
Its one thing i personally agree with. Young people of today have no where to go except hang around on street corners or drink alcohol in the parks. Which of course leads to an increase in crime and anti social behaviour.
Lily insists:
“They said give young people more of a stake in communities and give us more opportunities. The number of teenagers who will go off the rails is a problem for us all and instead of helping them only after they are in crisis, we need to stop them getting into trouble in the first place.”
For once i agree with her! You may have been surprised to read that but i actually do.
In my opinion and personal experienc, its just too easy for kids to get into trouble. Either with the police or other kids. Theres just nothing for them to do anymore. Kids are interested in skateboarding. But how many skateparks are there really? Where i lived there was only one, yet none of the kids went there. Why? Because you had to pay to get in and not everyone has money to go skating everyday. unfortunately not everyone is blessed with lots of cash.
So whats the other options? Well they could go to the park and drink with other kids. Stay in and play consoles if they are lucky enough to have one. Or join some kind of gang and think its the cool thing to do.
If Lily’s pleas to the government don’t work, where will our youth end up? Prison? Hospital? Or worse yet a hole in the ground. As the saying goes, Prevention is better than cure. For once i say . GO LILY!!!
