The British Grand Prix got underway over the weekend at Silverstone. We already knew Gemma Atkinson was going to be there to compare curves with the track, But we didn’t know David and Victoria Beckham would be turning up to the racing event.
It was Posh and Becks first time to the British racing event, and no doubt only turned up because they got an invite from Honda to appear. Of course it was more like a fashion event for Posh who according to David setup the whole matching outfits. Both were wearing matching black leather jackets and jeans.
Nick Fry (Honda Boss) explained how the Beckhams got the invite:
“It came about because our marketing agency is a company called 19 Entertainment, who also look after the Beckhams, Pop Idol and a bundle of other stuff like that,” he said.
“They were invited as guests, and it’s going to be good fun. I’m really looking forward to it.
“They’ve not been to a grand prix before, so it’s nice they have chosen to come.
“I believe this is their last big appearance before they go to the States on Tuesday, so it’s good they are here.
“I was lucky enough to be invited to their house before the World Cup, and I met them briefly
“I had a good time there, so it’s nice to be able to reciprocate.”
It certainly makes a change to see the couple at a British racing event rather than getting snapped in the States. But the couple couldn’t help posing for the cameras as they got snapped with Formula 1 pro Bernie Ecclestone.
Other celebs in attendance at the racing event were model Danielle Lloyd,Actress/model Gemma Atkinson and a bunch of other top names.
