Well the bid for $1.5 milion dollars on a used tin of dog food has been removed. It seems that it was just a ‘joke’ bid. which of course doesn’t go down well with eBay policies.
So an update from yesterdays auction which saw the highest bid at over $1.5 million. Its now been reduced to a much more acceptable $162.50 .
A question on the listing explains it all:
Q: Â Â Â Hi! Did you take out the highest bids!? IF YES WHY?? Â Â Â Jun-28-07
A: Â Â Â WE ARE CURRENTLY WORKING WITH EBAY TO ROOT OUT ILLEGITIMATE BIDDERS. PLEASE ALLOW LEGITIMATE BIDDERS / COLLECTORS TO BID ON THIS ITEM. THANK YOU.
Collectors of what? Celebrity Trash? or empty dog food cans. Both are weird things to collect.
But now its anybodys trash. At just under $200 dollars you can grab a used dog food can. Or buy something that is actually of use.
