Just a quick update on the latest rage which is. Selling celebrity trash. Yep just earlier this week we reported how scavengers from Hollywood managed to get their hands on Paris Hilton’s trash.
Just two days ago the bids were kind of acceptable. $305 for a used empty dog food can. But now its gone nuts. With bids of over $1.5 million dollars. Yes folks thats million!
Why the hell anybody would want to pay that much for an empty can of dog food that Paris Hilton Paris’ dogmight of eaten out of. The sellers are that paranoid about the bid that they asked auction staff at eBay to make sure the bid was genuine and pull it if it wasn’t.
Kim Rubey, spokesperson for eBay said:
“We do like to remind all the buyers that any bid is a binding contract to enter into an agreement with the seller, and we do have rules against bids that are not legitimate and we will take action against a joke bid,”
So its true then. One mans junk is another mans treasure. Or so is the case for the Hollywood trash guys.
The auction currently looks like this:
   *
STAR TRASH PARIS HILTON AUCTION: GOURMET DOG FOOD CAN
This seller accepts PayPal
* US $1,500,501.00
* Time Left: 2d 06h 48m
Lets see where it will end.
