Lily Allen reignites battle with Cheryl Tweedy
Just when Lily Allen seemed to be keeping her mouth shut. She goes and opens it again. I thought she said she was over the whole Cheryl Tweedy/Cole thing? I guess Cheryl really got to her.
Her latest spat came at Glastonbury where she was filling in for MIA. When she was up on stage, she changed the words form her song “I wish I looked just like Cheryl Tweedy” to a slightly different “I’m glad I don’t look like fucking Cheryl Tweedy.”
But that wasn’t enough for Lily according to NME.com, she added “This song’s about sticking your fingers up at the man- mortgage lenders, poli-fucking-ticians and America in general.”
Thats nice of her considering she was only touring in the States a few weeks ago. A country where she seemed well received. And was treated well by them. She might just take it back in a week or so.
Maybe she just had too much to drink? Or maybe the fun and mud of Glastonbury got her down.(There was LOTS of mud.)Â We just have to wait and see if Cheryl with bother responding to Lily’s attack. Probably not, she’s busy living her own life. Not obsessing over the past.
