Angelina Jolie wants a relationship with her father

It looks like Angelina Jolie is ready to put the past behind her as she’s started to communicate once again with her father Jon Voight.

Angelina and her father have always had a rocky relationship because Angelina blames Jon for her family being torn apart through his cheating ways.

Then Jon told the press that Angelina had “serious emotional problems” putting her adoption of Maddox at risk. Angelina saw red and hasn’t been in contact with him since. Angelina reported at the time, “My father and I don’t speak. I don’t hold any anger toward him. I don’t believe that somebody’s family becomes their blood. Because my son’s adopted, and families are earned.”

Recently, Angelina indicated to the British Evening Standard newspaper that a reconciliation with her estranged father is possible as she says.“At the end of the day we both wish the best for each other and we’ll try to start communicating in some way.”

Angelina adds. “I am hoping my relationship with my father will be more private in the future.”

If Angelina does make up with her father, then he will be able to meet his grandchildren for the first time.

Angelina talked about her dramatic weight-loss to the newspaper.
“I’ve always been lean and this year I lost my mom and I’ve gone through a lot, I have four kids and I finished breastfeeding – it’s been hard to get my nutrition back on track. Instead of people saying I look like a person dealing with something emotionally, they assume it’s because I want to fit into skinny jeans.”
