Thinspiration angry at Nicole Richie
Nicole Richie has caused outrage by banning girls who weigh over 100lbs (7 stone) to a party she was hosting last month.
The stick-thin 25 year old sent her invitations by e-mail, but she warned them that there would be a set of weighing scales at the door. The Daily Star reports that Nicole wrote,
“There will be a scale at the front door. No girls over 100lbs allowed in. Start starving yourself now.”
Nicole’s publicist insisted that she was just making a joke about of the speculation in the media regarding her weight, however the Beverly Hills based Thinspiration were not impressed or convinced.
Thinspiration is a group which promotes healthy eating and weight loss. On their blog they had this to say about Nicole’s joke.
“If it was a joke, it wasn’t funny. Richie is a disgrace.”
