The MTV Movie Awards Winners & Categories

The 16th annual MTV Movie Awards was live on air last night and was hosted by Sarah Silverman. Viewers enjoyed watching British Jazz singer Amy Winehouse who made her first-ever live U.S. television debut, with her fantastic performance of hit single, “Rehab.” Rhianna and Jay-Z were also on stage perfoming their number 1 hit ‘Umbrella’.

Here’s the list of the  MTV Movie Award winners and nominees in their categories.

Best Movie Winner: Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest
Best Movie Nominees: 300, Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan, Blades of Glory and Little Miss Sunshine.

Best Villain Winner:  Jack Nicholson- The Departed
Best Villain Nominees: Bill Nighy - Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest, Tobin Bell - Saw III, Meryl Streep - The Devil Wears Prada and Rodrigo Santoro - 300.

Best Performance Winner: Johnny Depp- Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest
Best Performance Nominees: Beyoncé Knowles - Dreamgirls, Jennifer Hudson - Dreamgirls, Gerard Butler - 300, Keira Knightley - Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest and Will Smith - The Pursuit of Happyness.

Breakthrough Performance Winner: Jaden Smith- The Pursuit of Happyness
