American Idol Jordin Sparks

This years new American Idol is 17 year old Jordin Sparks from Glendale Arizona. The contest came down to Jordin and beatbox vocalist Blake Lewis. Both contestants had to perform the song chosen by viewers online “This Is My Now” as well as two other songs of their choice.

Jordin’s performance gained her the majority of 74 million voters, a record deal and a nice new car.
When asked what kind of sound she would like to create she replied, “I’d like to do something that blends all kinds of different genres. I love everything.”

Entertainment lawyer Owen Sloane who’s clients include 2006 runner-up Chris Daughtry said
“It’s an unbelievable opportunity, and it has to be handled carefully and built on. This will be a big adjustment for her, from being a total unknown to one of the most well-known people in the United States. But if you don’t build a solid career based on it, people forget.”
