Paris Hilton’s appeal takes it’s first steps

Paris Hilton who we all know was sentenced to 45 days in jail recently. Her sentence is due to start on the 5th of June when she is to report to a county jail.

But what are Paris’ legal eagles doing to help keep her out? Well she already decided to go with a specialist in DUI cases in which is a good start. Richard Hutton will now represent her for this case, instead of criminal lawyer Howard Weitzman.  She also tried to change the way people saw her by making several public appearances showing remorse. And now she’s got that MySpace petition thing going on.

Although 10,000 people have left their comments and signed the petition. We doubt it would be enough for sentence to be overturned. Hecklerspray show a rather funny side to her story and why it probably wont work.

The petition will be presented to Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to help keep Paris out of jail because she’s  apparently  ‘very talented and brings entertainment to our otherwise mundane lives’ . Thas what recent reports suggest.

For some reason she thinks that she did nothing wrong, even though she was warned by different officers that she was not supposed to be driving. She continued. All because she believed she was in the right.

Paris made the following comment to photographers that were outside her home on Saturday:

“I feel that I was treated unfairly and that the sentence is both cruel and unwarranted and I don’t deserve this, “

How is 45 days cruel? People go to jail for longer for smaller or similar crimes. So 45 days is hardly cruel. Its more like rehab.

So the basic steps have been taken. Paris may even get early release reports TMZ.com. Which means she may only serve 39 days if she behaves.  No doubt those 39 days will be served in isolation for her own protection.  Like we said, Just like rehab.

A small question to those who did sign her petition.  Why?
