Myspace Demand Changes To Apples Quicktime Player To Help Clean Out Myspace Virus.

Myspace Was Hit With A Phishing Worm The Other Day And It Seems They Still Have Problems With It.

The Worm Fits A Illegitimate Menu Iver The Official Myspace Menu And When Clicked Redirects The User To A Fake Login Screen.  Once An Unsuspecting user Clicks The Menu And Entered The Credentials Required To Login to Myspace. The Details Are Sent To A Server And THe Worm Infects Profiles From Your Account.

More Info On The Actual Worm Can Be Found Here.

But IT Seems Myspace Cant Shift The Worm On Its Own And Are Demanding That Apple Change Their Software So The Virus Is Of No Use.

Apple Have Supplied Myspace With A Temp Fix But Say It Is Upto Myspace To Distribute It To Their Users.  No Doubt When The Newest Version Of Quicktime Is Released It Will Fix The Problem. Until Then Watch Your Logins.
