Joseph Frederick From Alaska. Was Holding A Banner With “Bong Hits 4 Jesus” On the Front Of It In Hopes He Would GEt On Television As The Winter Olympics Torch Went Past His School. No Doubt He Is On TV Now But He Is Also Suspended.
Frederick Was Standing Outside THe School On The Other Side Of The Road When Prinicipal Deborah Morse Snatched The Banner And Crumpled It Then Suspending Frederick For 10 Days.Â
She Says The Words Are To Depict Marijuana Smoking Activities And BEcause She Didn’t Like It She Took Away His Fredom Of Speech. Whatever The Words May Mean He Wasn’t On School Property And The Entire School Was Outside To Watch The Relay Go Past. So He Wasn;t Doing Anything Wrong.
Frederick Is Claiming Monetary Damages And Demanding The Suspension Be Removed From His Permanent Record. Although a Federal Judge Dismissed The Case, But A US Appeals Court Says HE Has Good Grounds For Damages.

The Supreme Court is expected to hear arguments in the case at the end of February, with a decision due by June
