Theres Many Reasons Why The iPod May Remain Top Of Gift Lists ANd As The Number Portable Gadget FOr Video And Audio.  One Main Reason Is That People Know iPod, They Know IT Works, They Know Its Reliable. Which To Be Fair Is More Than Can Said For Microsoft.

The Zune Has Maybe 1 Good Thing Going For It. You Can Send Tracks To Other Zune Users Near By, Known As Squirting.

But The many Bad Things That Is Has Going For It Is That The Systm To Run The Software Must Be Of Minimum Spec And Running XP SP2. The Software Can Be Only DOwnloaded Through Internet Explorer. Not Firefox.

Reports Of The Software Download Taking Upto 30 Minutes To Be On The Users Home Machine.  The Software Simply Looks LIkes A Different Version On Windows Media Player, But The SOftware Is Not Compatible With WMP. And Despite Having Wi-Fi Technology Onboard The Zune, IT Can Only Be Connected Through The Software. Not Wirelessly.

The Music Store Itself Does Not Use Any “Real” Currency Instead It Uses Points. Points Cost $5 For 400 Points With 1 Track Costing 79 Points And A Minimum Purchase.Maybe a Good Thing Is You Can Get A Free Track For Your Zune..> When You Spend $80.. Ya Know Like When You Dont Care About Your Free Track.

 

The iPod Is What People Know. Its WHat They Trust, And Its Been About For Long Enough To Establish Its Market.

Unless Microsoft Do Something About Their Store Having Just 2 Million Downloads With No Podcasts Or Videocasts And The Software problems It may Just Flop.Leaving Bill A Bit Red Faced.
