A German gynaecologist Has Been Ordered To Pay £400 A Month For A Contraceptive Implant That Didnt Work.
THe Doctor From Suedbaden Put The Implant In Place In 2002. But The Woman Later Found Out She Was Pregnant With No Option Of Abortion Due To Her Been Too Far Into The Pregnancy.
Both Parties Names Are Withheld Due To Legal reasons. The Doctor Must Pay Child Maintenance For The Child Until it hits Adulthood. Which is Going To be Sometime.
The Woman Stated That She Was Unable To Continue Her Job As A Kindergarten Teacher And Could Not Afford To Raise The Child on Her Own.
The Woman Has Had A Child Since First Filing The Court Case. But Justice Gerda Mueller of the Federal Court Said “The existence of the child is not a damage in itself, but the need to support it financially is.”
